DTEK needed to strengthen the security of user accounts: the number of cyberattacks on IT systems was growing, and the company was using outdated account protection methods that were not properly optimized and updated regularly.
Today, the security of employee accounts is an important component for any company, especially in the changing environment from the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic to the period of full-scale war. Adapting to new working conditions, such as the transition to remote work, requires strengthening corporate security, where multifactor authentication plays a key role.
Multifactor authentication (MFA) is a method of identifying a person that involves the use of multiple levels of verification to confirm the identity of a user before granting them access to virtual or physical resources. This process requires a user to provide multiple authenticators, such as a passcode, mobile phone, or fingerprint, before access is allowed.
MFA significantly improves system security by making unauthorized access more difficult: even if one of the authenticators is compromised, access to the protected resource remains secure, requiring additional forms of verification.
DTEK needed to strengthen the security of user accounts: the number of cyberattacks on IT systems was growing, and the company was using outdated account protection methods that were not properly optimized and updated regularly.
The main task for the company was to implement a solution that would allow employees to access a number of IT services with MFA: Microsoft 365, business applications (SAP, Salesforce), and on-premises applications in a virtualized infrastructure. The implementation of multi-factor authentication was a significant step in strengthening DTEK's information security by introducing additional protection for more than 20,000 user accounts.
- Implement the recommended information security measures in accordance with the existing industry standards for user authentication
- Increase the level of identification protection without compromising security
- Obtain a solution to prevent the loss of company identities and assets
- Improve remote collaboration with IT resources with a complete user authentication solution
Business IT security is a key aspect of a modern company's operation. You can't afford to risk losing confidential information, restricting access to important company files, or reducing employee productivity. By implementing advanced technical solutions, such as Microsoft Entra ID multifactor authentication and passwordless login, our team has raised the level of security for DTEK to a new level.
