Our enemy is constantly launching massive attacks on the energy infrastructure, including DTEK’s facilities. At MODUS X, we know that when the war ends, there will be an urgent need to restore the energy sector and compensate for the losses. Therefore, we are already focusing on managing the compensation mechanism.

The Damage Portal solution provides comprehensive information about damages, including visual evidence, damage details, geolocation data, and estimated repair costs. Software engineering team integrated analytical tools based on Power BI allow for detailed data analysis and facilitate prompt decision-making. The Damage Portal is a tool for managing the consequences of war and strategic planning for post-war reconstruction.

Challenges and Solutions

Initially, data was recorded in Excel, which had an essential drawback: inconvenience due to the collaboration of many users in one file and the complexity of managing the process. However, the new custom system, developed with .Net and ReactJS technologies, offers an improved solution with clearly defined user roles and rights.

Moreover, the transition of a package of documents from the collection stage to the verification stage is accompanied by informing the process participants and blocking access to the files, eliminating information duplication, and ensuring correct data processing. Real-time reporting in Power BI allows you to analyze and manage the process efficiently, significantly saving data collection and consolidation time.

The Damage Portal has become an indispensable tool during the war for the energy industry to manage damage information effectively:

• The centralized collection of damage data, including photos, descriptions, geolocation, and repair cost estimates, simplifies documentation and speeds up response.
• Analytical tools based on Power BI allow for a detailed analysis of trends and damage dynamics, contributing to informed decision-making.

The result is the Damage Portal, a digital product in the form of a web application that serves as a portal for recording damage caused by military operations. It is adapted for various users, including specialists in production departments, lawyers, economists, financiers, and environmentalists, providing efficient and convenient management of the necessary information for damage restoration and compensation.
